The Gainesville Police Department provides law-enforcement and public-safety services for Gainesville, Texas. Operating from the Steven K. Fleming Public Safety Center, the department serves the community through patrol, criminal investigations, communications, crime prevention, public education and community-engagement programs. The department also offers the Gainesville Citizens Police Academy, which gives participants an educational look at police operations and strengthens communication between residents and local law enforcement.
